HOLIDAY RECIPES – Sweet Treats
If you’re looking for quick and easy holiday recipes, you can’t go wrong with these! The first time I ever tasted this delicious fudge was when my sister made it when we were in high school! I started making it when my kids were small for gifts and have been making it every year since. It’s a favorite! In fact, my son just texted me this afternoon asking me for the recipe. That’s become a tradition too! Maybe I should give him a recipe box for Christmas! Better yet, sign him up for one of the online recipe sites. I haven’t tried them myself, but I’ve thought about it. CHRISTMAS FUDGE
CHRISTMAS PECANS
Each year my sister sends us delicious pecans from Virginia. So, every year I make this simple treat and a southern tradition! It quickly became a family favorite. You can also buy yummy pecans at Costco for a really good price around this time of year. Sometimes I buy a bag and make them for gifts.

I love scones and I can’t wait to make these! I’ll let you know how they go. This will be a first. Several years ago I tried my hand at making biscotti and was amazed by how easy it was. I hope these are the same!

I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season. Toss all your cares aside and just live in the moment. Let go of the need for it to be perfect and lean in to loving it just the way it is — annoying relatives and all! In a few weeks it will all be behind us either way.

Your blog looks particularly festive this week with photos that look almost edible. I made scones for my sister’s birthday party in September but they didn’t look as wonderful as yours. 🙂

Thanks, Marian. I bet your scones were tasty! (I didn’t make the ones in the picture!) Happy Holidays to you and yours.
